My qualifications
I received my training as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in New York. I am Board Certified holistic health practitioner, accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). My training has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, practical lifestyle management techniques, innovative health coaching tools, and preventive health as taught by some of the world's top health and wellness experts – Dr. Andrew Weil (Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine); Dr. Deepak Chopra (leader in the field of mind-body medicine); Dr. David Katz (Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center) and Dr. Walter Willett (Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University) to name a few. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of 100 different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make health and lifestyle changes that create real and lasting results.
I am a certified Forrest Yoga teacher and trained directly with Ana T. Forrest, the creator of Forrest Yoga. Forrest Yoga is a powerful healing practice created to specifically address the physical and emotional stresses and challenges that we face in our modern lives.
I'm also a graduate of the Raw Food Chef Training Program at the Matthew Kenney Culinary in Los Angeles. MK Culinary is known for its innovative approach and strong emphasis on whole, organic, unprocessed, plant-based foods to achieve healthy, aesthetically refined and flavourful cuisine. Now I use my knowledge of plant-based and raw nutrition as one of the tools in my transformational coaching programs.
And because learning is an ongoing process, I am currently studying Herbalism, Aromatherapy, the Bach Flower Remedies and Advanced Holistic Nutrition at the School of Natural Health Sciences (SNHS) in London, UK.
And just for a full disclosure, I also hold an M.A. in Educational Studies and a M.Sc. in Finance and Accounting (learning is my passion, can you tell? ;-))
